On this page, I’ll be sharing authors who set their stories in Great Britain. I hope that you’ll enjoy their works as much as I have. If you have an author in mind who isn’t listed here, please leave me a comment. I’ll appreciate it!

I know that I’m forgetting some wonderful authors. Please help me! Send a comment with your favorite authors who write with a setting of Great Britain.

The one who comes to mind immediately is “James Herriot” (Alf Wight) who wrote the All Creatures Great & Small series. If it weren’t for that lovely man, I’d never have married my beautiful husband, spent our honeymoon in England/Scotland, met Dr. Wight on our 2nd trip to Yorkshire, and had 26 years of wedded bliss so far since 1986. Living in the U.S., we are Anglophiles completely and utterly and if we ever win the lottery, it’s off across the pond we will go! Marie Hartley is another wonderful Yorkshire author not to be omitted. Among so many others!
